In a recent interview with BBC Radio 4’s show Mastertapes, former Beatle member Paul McCartney talked candidly about some opposition he received from the one-and-only Oprah regarding his collaboration with rapper Kanye West. According to the legendary singer, Oprah advised him not to allow Kanye to use his melody on the song “All Day,” as Kanye had embellished lyrics filled with the n-word over the track. However, Paul evidently did not end up listening to Oprah and actually went on to work with Kanye on another track called “FourFive Seconds.” While some may believe Kanye is simply crazy, he is clearly talented – I mean he got Paul McCartney to ignore Oprah!
