Quite a few artists have been complaining lately about fans using their smart-phones too much during their concerts. According to them, people spend most of the time recording instead of enjoying the actual show- and they’re right actually!
But, looks like Alicia Keys has found the perfect solution for this problem: lockable pouches where people can put their mobile phones when asked to.
The pouches are made by San Francisco startup Yondr in order to allow music venues, schools and businesses to create phone-free zones.
So, basically when you go to the concert, you must put your phone in this pouch, provided by the venue. If you need to use it, you can go outside the “no-phone-zone” and someone will unlock it.
What do you guys think? Is this a good solution or is it too much for artists to ask this?
