Pop singer Ariana Grande was scheduled to perform at Rock in Rio in Portugal over the Memorial Day weekend. Unfortunately, just a few days before the event the pint-sized songstress came down with a throat and sinus infection and was forced to cancel her appearance. On her Instagram page, Ariana explained her last minute cancellation to fans. She said, “I am deeply saddened to tell my babes in Portugal that I have to cancel my performance at Rock in Rio. (I’ve literally been crying over this for an hour)… I have a through [and] sinus infection [and] my doctors have advised me not to sign for a few days…” The “Dangerous Woman” singer went on to promise her fans in Portugal that she would make it up to them as soon as possible.
Although this is clearly a disappointing situation for both the singer and her fans, taking the time off and listening to her doctors is probably the best way for her to ensure she is ready to get back on stage sooner rather than later.
