Walt Disney’s live action remake of Beauty and the Beast has turned out to be a
huge success and it’s only been out for a day!
The movie already earned $63.7 million this Friday, becoming one of the biggest
earnings in a day for a movie. It is already being predicted that Beauty and the
Beast can make it into the Top 10 of biggest openings of all time and even take
the top spot for biggest opening for a PG movie.
The projections suggest that the opening weekend for the movie in the North
America could gather a record breaking of $170 million.
Some of the records, which the movie featuring Emma Watson will definitely
break, are: the biggest start ever for a PG title (currently held by Finding Dory
with $135 million) and the top March opening of all time (currently held by
Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice with $166 million).
This Friday, with almost $64 million, Beauty and The Beast became the largest
single day for a PG movie, beating the 2009 movie Harry Potter and the Half-

week, while in Japan on April 21.
