Bella and Gigi Hadid joined the #NoBanNoWall march in the streets of New York City this Sunday; to protest President Trump’s new executive order that temporarily bans refugees from entering the United States.
The two sisters were seen at the protest holding signs that said “We are all Humans”.
Gigi and Bella joined the people shouting “No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here”, as you can see in the video below.
The sisters were spotted at the #NoBanNoWall march on Sunday holding signs and chanting along with the rest of the protesters. Their father, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, is Jordanian-American and Muslim while their mother, Yolanda Hadid, is Dutch-American. Gigi’s boyfriend, former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, is also Muslim.
The recent ban targeting immigrants from some Middle Eastern countries, which many have criticized for singling out Muslims, is one close to the sisters’ hearts. The pair’s father is Mohamed Hadid, a Jordanian-American real estate developer originally from Palestine, and Gigi is currently dating singer Zayn Malik, who has identified as Muslim.
Hand-in- hand, the models took part in a chorus of people shouting, “No hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here.”
Bella, 20, shared a photo of herself holding a sign that read “We are all Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Atheists, Christians, Jews,” with letters from each word in bold to highlight the meaning of the sign: “We are all humans.”
