Blac Chyna’s request to trademark the name Angela Renee Kardashian has
officially been denied. The news was announced by TMZ this Sunday, April 2.
Chyna (whose real name is Angela Renee White), tried to trademark the name
Angela Renee Kardashian last year, after announcing she was expecting Rob
Kardashian’s child. Considering that the two were supposed to get married, the
28 year old model thought it would be best to legally secure that name before
However, when the Kardashian sisters found out about it, they immediately put
their attorneys on the case to block the process. It was Kim, Khloe and
Kourtney, who handled the case. Their representatives told at the time that if
Chyna trademarked that name, it would make the Kardashian companies
“suffer to their reputation and goodwill if the opposed mark is allowed to
After that statement, it was Blac Chyna’s mother, Tokyo Toni, who went on
social media defending her daughter. Toni told she supports Chyna 110% “no
matter what” and will help her get everything that she rightfully deserves.
Meanwhile a source close to the Kardashian family told US Weekly that Kim
Khloe and Kourtney “do love Chyna” and they are just trying to protect their
interests. They wanted to resolve everything personally and peacefully, because
after all, that is quite a complicated issue.
However, considering the fact that Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have called it
quits since February and a marriage isn’t in sight anymore, the judge’s order to
deny Chyna’s trademark request was more than expected.
But maybe it’s not over yet, because over the weekend, the 28 year old model
and the 30 year old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star posted several
Snapchat videos together, in which they appeared very close and even shared a
few kisses in the cheeks. Maybe they are already back together, so maybe
Chyna can make another request to trademark her Kardashian last name.
