Camilla Cabello has now officially left Fifth Harmony and has started to open up about how she felt when she was with the girl group.
More specifically, the 19 year old singer talked about having to be sexualized at a young age, because that’s what people told her to be.
“Especially with being a girl group, there’s been a lot of times where people have tried to sexualize us to just get more attention,” Camilla told Lena Dunham on her podcast, Women of the Hour.
“Unfortunately, sex sells.” – She continued.
Camilla also told that the girls often had to make songs that have a lot of “sexual undertones”, and that’s totally okay according to her, but only if you actually want to express your sexuality.
Meanwhile the remaining girls of Fifth Harmony, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui don’t seem to have the same problem.
The girls are set to perform at this year’s People’s Choice Awards, and it will be their first performance without Camilla.
