That’s So Raven
The spinoff for Disney’s hit show That’s So Raven is officially happening!
After being announced back in October of 2016 that a sequel of the show would
start soon, things are already taking place.
The new spinoff will be called Raven’s Home and the show has officially been
ordered for production, which will begin this April, in Los Angeles.
Raven Symone will obviously be making her return for the prequel, just like she
announced in October after leaving The View, the talk show she was part of.
Along with Raven, Anneliese Van Der Pol, will be making her comeback.
Both actresses will play the roles they had, Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels.
From what we know will now, the plot will be like this:
Raven and Chelsea will be two friends who are divorced single mothers. They will
be living in the same household raising their children together. Things will get
“out of hands” when one of Raven’s children will inherit his mother’s ability to
see the future.
Issac Brown and Navia Robinson will play Raven’s twin kids, while Jason
Maybaum will play Chelsea’s son. The cast seems very excited to start working,
as Symone keeps sharing some throwback pictures from the series in her
Instagram account.
That’s so Raven ran for 4 seasons on Disney Channel (2003-2007) and was one
of the most successful shows of the network. According to the channel, the
series still reach more than a million viewers every time it’s re-aired.
Even the President of Disney Channel Worldwide, Gary Marsh, had some pretty
exciting things to say about the show in a recent statement.
“There is only one Raven—and for over 25 years, she has blessed audiences
around the world with the greatest gift of all—the pure, unadulterated joy of
laugh-out- loud funny. After being a part of over 20 different Disney projects, we
are thrilled to be bringing Raven home to Disney Channel once again,” Marsh
told.
