Drake has finally released his new playlist called More Life on OVO Sound Radio
this Saturday, March 18, which contained 22 brand new songs for his fans!
Something fans have noticed is that the much talked collaboration with singer
Jennifer Lopez is missing from the track list. Drake and Lopez started dating
back in December/January and were pretty close for a time. Sources claimed
that the two met because they were recording a new song together. JLo too
confirmed on The Ellen Show a couple of weeks ago that Drake invited her to
work on a track, but it looks like that song didn’t make the cut.
The reason could be because the two singers are no longer dating each other.
However Drake still included in the new playlist a sample of Jennifer’s 1999 song
“If You Had My Love” in the song “Teenage Fever”.
You may remember that JLo and Drake were dancing at a party to an unreleased
song of them, in which they are both singing. The song is “Get It Together” in
the new album, but Lopez’s vocals are nowhere to be heard. Instead Drake
replaced JLo with singer Jorja Smith.
Many JLo fans considered the removal of her vocals quite shady from Drake’s
side. Drake also mentioned the 47 year old singer in the first track called “Free
“I drunk text J.Lo / Old number, so it bounce back”, the 30 year old singer raps.
Drake and Lopez broke up after nearly two months of dating and after making
their relationship public. They posted several pictures of social media together
and were also seen and photographed together during their dates.
Their relationship slowed down when Drake started his European Tour and after
that they eventually called it quits.
JLo is now dating former baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
