Ed Sheeran is in the cover of British GQ Magazine’s March issue, and among other stuff, he opened up about his close relationship with Taylor Swift.
The “Shape of You” singer revealed that he and Swift get very competitive in the music industry, because neither of them was popular back in their school days.
“Taylor was never the popular kid in school. I was never the popular kid in school. Then you get to the point when you become the most popular kid in school — and we both take it a bit too far.” – Sheeran told the magazine.
The two are very supportive of each other and that hasn’t passed without being noticed. Even in award shows when Taylor and Ed are nominated in the same categories, they’re always rooting for each other. However, Sheeran reveals that their plans for the future are even bigger.
“She wants to be the biggest female artist in the world and I want to be the biggest male artist in the world,” the British singer said.
Meanwhile he’s enjoying massive success from his latest singles Shape of You and Castle on the Hill. Taylor also has been very successful with her new single featuring Zayn Malik.
