The Former One Direction member Harry Styles has finally released his highly
anticipated solo debut single called “Sign of the Times”.
The song has a pretty different sound compared to Styles’ previous work with
One Direction, but his fans seem to love it! Harry’s first single is more of a slow
song and many people are comparing it to David Bowie’s sound. The song was
produced by Jeff Bhasker and co-written by Styles himself.
“Sign of the Times” has turned out to be a major success already; reaching
number one on iTunes of more than 90 countries on his first day, including United
States and United Kingdom.
Harry told Radio One on Friday that this is the song he’s most proud of writing.
“I wrote most of the album in Jamaica, I was in Jamaica for two months. I just
wanted to not be distracted… I really liked being away from everything,” Styles
dished on the writing process that went on for his upcoming album.
Meanwhile, Harry’s schedule will continue to be quite busy. The 23 year old
singer will make his first solo performance on Saturday Night Live on April 15.
Not only that, but Billboard has confirmed that he will also performing another
new song on SNL. That being said, his fans have been very excited to hear it, in
order to create a better idea of the sound of Styles’ debut album.
The music video of “Sign of the Times” is expected to drop later this month, as it
has already been filmed. We already know from some paparazzi pictures that the
video was filmed in Scotland around the Isle of Skye and Styles has hanging
from a helicopter for it, so we expect it will be pretty epic!
After SNL, Harry will also appear on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show to make his
first solo performance in the UK.
