Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced back in June 2015 that they were splitting up after ten years of marriage.
Almost two years after announcing that they were breaking up, multiple sources close to the actors have confirmed that Garner is preparing to officially file for divorce from Affleck.
The 44 year old stars met on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2011, but fell for each other during their roles on Daredevil in 2003. The couple got married in June 2005 and has three children together, Violet,
Seraphina and Samuel (respectively of age 11, 8 and 4).
Although they went on their separate way as a couple, Jennifer and Ben have continued to maintain a good relationship in order to raise their children’s right.
“No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them,” a close source to the family told US Magazine.
And in fact the Oscar winning actor and the talented actress continued to travel as a family so their kids could be near both parents. Whenever they had to travel in a different country in order to film for their movies for a long time, they would accompany each other.
Affleck also always had good things to say about Garner in his interviews. Only last December he called her “the best mom in the world” during a Times Talks panel at the NYU Skirball Center.
According to insiders, the couple did try to make things work again, especially after their youngest child was born. A source revealed that Ben always wanted a solid family for his kids, like the one he was raised in, but as much as they tired they couldn’t save their marriage.
That’s why Jennifer has finally wants to file for divorce and end it once and for all.
