about the whole Oscars mix-up, where the wrong movie was handed the Best

The 49 year old host revealed to the audience that Warren Beatty and Faye
Dunaway were set to present the Best Picture award in honor of the 50 th
anniversary of their famous movie, Bonnie and Clyde.

Clyde threw Bonnie under the bus”, Jimmy told the audience joking referring to
the fact that Warren let Faye read the name of the movie.

Kimmel kept the jokes coming as he told that that was the weirdest TV finale
since Lost.

The host recalled that he was sitting in the audience with Matt Damon when the
award was being presented and Matt told him that he thought they read the
wrong winner. Jimmy then told the audience that he responded “You figure, well,
you know, the host will go on stage and clear this up,” and then he remembered
that he was the host.

Jimmy then showed some clips from the moments both producers of Moonlight
and La La Land were on stage.

Kimmel joked that no one even knows who is who and he added than he was
standing there like an idiot feeling bad for them and also trying really hard not to
laugh.

The talk show host also revealed that people would keep asking him if this was a
prank he’d pulled, but obviously it was not. He added that he had to spend the
whole night answering questions about it and it wasn’t that fun.
