Justin Timberlake is covering The Hollywood Reporter’s February 17 issue and in the interview he opened up about why he really left the boy band he started his career with, NSYNC.
With his first No. 1 single in a decade — that inescapable 'Trolls' tune, up for a Grammy and an Oscar — former boy band phenom @JustinTimberlake is a dad starring in a Woody Allen movie and grappling with "faint" memories from a childhood of stardom he's not sure he would choose for his son: "I could teach him a lot about what not to do." Timberlake told that the real reason was because he was growing out of it and wanted to make other music and cared more about the music than other members of the band.
“I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart” – The Can’t Stop the Feeling singer revealed.
After leaving NSYNC, Justin didn’t only become a successful singer, but a successful actor too. He told the magazine that he always wanted to do both.
“I want to do both things. I really do idolize the golden era of Hollywood, when actors were required to sing and move”, Justin told.
Timberlake is currently still enjoying the success of his latest number #1 single “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”, which is nominated at this year’s Grammys and Oscars.
