Katy Perry is one of the most vocal celebrities when it comes to political issues.
The Chained to the Rhythm singer was a very strong supporter of Hillary Clinton
during her Presidential campaign and even though Clinton didn’t win, Katy still
involves herself a lot in recent political events.
That being said, the 32 year old singer has some harsh words about other
celebrities who stay mute when it comes to politics.
“I don’t think you have to shout it [your political views] from the rooftops, but I
think you have to stand for something, and if you’re not standing for anything,
you’re really just serving yourself, period, end of story,” Katy told during her
recent interview for Vogue magazine.
Even though she didn’t say any name, we believe she was referring to Taylor
Swift, considering the Shake it Off singer remained quiet during last year’s
election and didn’t support anyone publically. By doing that, Taylor received a lot
of criticism, but that was her decision.
“If you have a voice you have a responsibility to use it now, more than ever,"
