This Saturday (December 10 th ), the Nobel Prize Ceremony was held in Stockholm, Sweden.

Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature as it was announced back in October, but unfortunately
he was unable to travel all the way to Sweden.

That being said, Patti Smith accepted the award in his behalf and performed a very emotional
rendition of his song ‘A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall’.

During the performance, Smith made a little mistake by repeating a lyric twice, but paused the
signing to let the audience know, I’m sorry. I apologize, I’m so nervous”.

Bob Dylan couldn’t be there, but he wrote a very long message to show his appreciation for winning
the prize. You can read it HERE.
