Shailene Woodley’s fans can now stop worrying, because the Divergent actress has finally been released from jail.
Woodley was arrested on Tuesday morning, Oct. 11th, for peacefully protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline at a construction site in Sioux County, North Dakota.
The 23 year old actress was accused of trespassing, but it was believed the police targeted her because of her being a public figure.
She even live streamed the whole protest and the moment of her arrest. You can watch it HERE.
After her release, Shailene’s publicist told: “She appreciates the outpouring of support, not only for her, but more importantly, for the continued fight against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.”
Her first court date is set on October 24th.
