You may recall that last month, May 25, at a show T.I was billed to headline at, rapper Troy Ave (real name Roland Collins) was involved in a shooting incident that left his bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter dead. Since the incident that occurred at the in a backstage green room at the Irving Plaza concert venue, the rapper has been arrested without bail.
NYPD has been seeking to have Troy indicted on a count of murder following the 11-second video clip released showing him coming out of a room with blood on his leg and shooting at the direction of people. But a Grand Jury think otherwise and will not be charging Troy with murder. However, he has been indicted on second-degree attempted murder and four counts of unlawful criminal possession of a weapon.
