During last night’s Late Late Show, James Corden and Demi Lovato truly showed
their talent in signing in a Divas Riff Off!
It was Corden who started the whole debate by telling his audience that divas in
the past are better than divas today, because “they didn’t have Instagram –
they just had sass, voice and songs.”
But Demi Lovato did not agree at all with his statement. “I heard you’ve been
telling people that divas back then are better than divas today,” the Confident
singer told as she surprised the audience by coming out on the Late Late Show

Corden supported his opinion by mentioning Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin,
Whitney Houston and Cher, but Lovato still wasn’t so convinced. So, they
decided to sort it out by doing a singing contest!
The two stars were joined by acapella group, Level and started their contest. IT
was Demi who went first, by signing Adele’s famous 2011 hit “Rolling in the
Deep”. She did an incredible job and the audience definitely loved it.
After her it was James who took the spotlight to sing the classic “River Deep,
Mountain High” by Tina Turner. Being the talented singer that he is, the Late
Late Show host did an incredible job, but Lovato wasn’t so impressed.

After that, she continued to sing Katy Perry’s “Roar”, finishing the mini contest
with her own hit song “Heart Attack”. After hearing Demi sing all the songs, the
British star then admitted he was wrong. They made peace and ended the
segment by singing Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” together in an incredible
